The California Community Colleges’ Economic & Workforce Development Program, with funding from the State of California, has launched an exciting new opportunity for youth and young adults to develop their entrepreneurial skills and expand their career path choices.
The purpose of the new YouthEntrepreneurship Project (YEP) is to increase awareness of and foster the development of self-employment through entrepreneurial start-up businesses as a legitimate lifetime career path. Through YEP young people can learn how to apply their creativity to the development of their own, successful future.
Join the CITD and CMTAC of Citrus College YEP training where you will learn fundamental skills for international business:
- Import/export logistics
- International business planning
- Understanding other cultures
- Life management skills
“Small businesses create most of the nation’s new jobs, employ about half of the nation’s private sector work force, and provide half of the nation’s nonfarm, private real gross domestic product (GDP), as well as a significant share of innovations.” Source: The Small Business Economy – A Report To The President 2009; U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)
With the importance of successful small businesses to the U.S. economy and California’s economy, it is critical that new entrepreneurial start-ups be constantly successfully developed: The fewer successful entrepreneurial start-ups that are developed, the fewer successful small businesses so critical to our cultural, economic and social future.
The YEP project of the CITD & CMTAC of Citrus College works to help jump-start the needed supply of entrepreneurial start-ups, with particular focus on the business of International Trade.
